If your Toshiba TV was bought before around 2018, it was very likely engineered and built by Toshiba itself, under the REGZA name it used in its home market of Japan. In 2018, Toshiba sold its television division to Hisense, along with a 40-year license to keep using the Toshiba name globally.
Since then, Toshiba-branded TVs sold worldwide — including the ones most commonly found in Dubai — have been designed and manufactured by Hisense’s TV division, now called TVS REGZA.
